The former editor of the Russian radio station Shanson Artur Vafin has left his position. Roman Shakhov has been appointed its acting editor and can be reached at djshakhov@chanson.ru. International edition for a Russian shopping guide

Russian shopping guide Ya pokupayu starts its international Spain-Andorra edition this summer with 10,000 circulation. It will be published by Russian Abak-Press and Spanish ASTARTA MEDIA SLU. Its director Svetlana Krolivetskaya will oversee its production.  


Russian language lifestyle magazine in Czech Republic

Czech publisher Mlada fronta has launched a quarterly Russian language lifestyle magazine Zen with 20,000 circulation. The editorial team is led by its Chief Editor Jan Müller, who is also responsible for Czech edition of Zen, and can be contacted on mullerj@mf.cz.










Editorial changes at Polish Elle

Another fitness magazine for women in Poland

A women's monthly magazine Happy! covering fitness, dieting, sports and beauty has launched in Poland with 220,000 circulation. It is planned that the circulation will be around 170,000 later on. Ukraine welcomes a new entertainment newspaper Vecherkom

Ukrainian publisher Segodnya Multimedia has launched weekly entertainment and consumer newspaper Vecherkom with 50,000 circulation with the editor Lev Shmalev. The newspaper appears on Fridays with A3 format and contains TV guide, celebrities, gardening and cookery sections, horoscopes and crosswords, and entertainment for the whole family.

Russian Playboy welcomes a new editor-in-chief

Russian publishing house Burda has appointed Alexey Korolev the editor-in-chief of Russian edition of Playboy magazine. He has replaced Vlad Ivanenko on this position, who will concentrate on Ukrainian edition of Playboy magazine.

Martin Hekrdla has recently joined Czech magazine Tyden as its commentator, Josef Kolina is responsible now for the coverage of transport issues, and Jakub Kalensky covers home affairs, politics and current news. Prior to this Jakub Kalensky has worked at Lidove noviny, Hospodarske noviny and Czech TV.
Josef Kolina has also moved on from Lidove Noviny, where he has written about motoring and transport. Martin Hekrdla has written in the past for Listy, ZN Noviny and has been a poltical commentator at Pravo.

A new volleyball magazine on Polish market

A new Polish monthly volleyball magazine called Nowa Siatkowka will be launched next week with 10,000 copies. At the moment they can be found on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/NowaSiatkowka.

The Ukrainian website Elle.com.ua for the Elle magazine launched on March 1.

Russian national weekly Delovoy Vtornik has been re-named for Novy Vtornik

The newspaper covers the current social, political and economic issues, and what is happening in the country.

New Tuesday comes out as supplement to regional newspapers, and focuses on quality journalism covering various topics.
The newspaper is published in all eight federal regions of Russian Federation with the circulation of 550,000 copies per week.

Polish Newsweek has got a new Editor-in-Chief

Tomasz Lis has been appointed to lead editorial team of Polish Newsweek, and Aleksandra Karasinska has joined the title as his deputy editor.

Newsweek Polska is published weekly by Ringier Axel Springer Polska. Tomasz Lis has replaced its former editor Wojciech Maziarski on the editorial position, who left the title.

Tomasz Lis started his career in 1990 in the TV news programme at TVP. In the years 1994-1997 he was Washington correspondent for Polish TV. Afterwards Lis had his news programmes at two other Polish TV stations: TVN and Polsat.

A free weekly newspaper Metro will come to Russian city Novosibirsk in March 2012.
The newspaper will be published by DiMark and will come out on Tuesdays with 100,000 copies and will be distributed for free on streets, public transport, business centers and cafes. Novosibirsk is the fourth city in Russia after Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kazan, to have Metro edition.
